Yoga Therapy is especially supportive for those dealing with health issues, injury, limited mobility, emotional and mental disorders, chronic pain and illness. It is an extremely effective practice to restore balance, increase vitality and help you to progress towards optimal health and well-being. A growing body of research shows that yoga can help relieve, manage or even eliminate symptoms, of such conditions. A regular yoga class may not be suitable for you at this time where the needs of the whole group are met rather than focusing specifically on your individual needs in a one-on-one setting.

Depending on the condition, yoga works well as either a primary modality, or as a complimentary therapy. Yoga Therapy brings a holistic approach seeing the person as a ‘whole’, rather than just the condition alone. The tools of yoga are available and accessible to all regardless of age, level of fitness, health condition or belief system. Treatment is based on ancient yoga teachings and also draws on modern medicine in a holistic and integrative way. It is based on the premise that you can take an active role in your own health and healing.

Yoga Therapy combined with Mindfulness Meditation allows for a potent experience and mind-body training. Becoming more aware of our thoughts, emotions and actions, enables us to offer a lens of compassion towards them and ourselves. Through Mindfulness practice and knowledge of Yoga & Buddhist Pyschology we cultivate inner wisdom in our approach.

Roni is a Registered C-IAYT Yoga Therapist and specialises in Yoga for Mental Health, Spinal Issues, and Women’s Wellness. Roni draws from her own life long journey with severe childhood Anxiety Disorders (OCD) from 8 years old, Depression, Body Image Disorders, and Low Back issues. Upon meeting with Buddhist Mindfulness practices in her late teens, these awareness practices began to change all this. So she started on the path of Mindfulness and Meditation, and later also incorporating Movement, Breath and Sound Therapy based practices.

Roni is trained in Yoga Psychology & Psychiatry, Tibetan Buddhism, Anxiety & Depression, Polvagal Theory, Eating Disorders, Spinal Disorders, and Women’s Womb Yoga to name a few. Therefore Roni combines a mindful approach to yoga therapy with Asanas (Postures), Pranayama (Breath), Ayurveda, Yoga Philosophy, Sound, Myofascial Release, Lifestyle Advice and more for an integrated pathway to wellness.

HIP DYSPLASIA

When I was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia I had almost given up on going to yoga classes because I couldn’t do half of the poses and I often ended up feeling more sad than peaceful in a class. But in Roni’s classes I found the love for my yoga practice again. She was so helpful, she always had an alternative pose for all the poses I couldn’t do, and I got so inspired to evolve my yoga practice even more in spite of not being able to do rotation in my hips.
